Real World Gym's goal is to help people protect themselves and their loved ones. To improve people’s lives by empowering them in all aspects of their life using Senshido's teachings as the vehicle to guide them in doing so. We wish to rid them of the victim mentality and offering them researched behavioral and physical tactics that are applicable to any confrontation whether violent or nonviolent in nature. Senshido also promotes health, fitness, peace of mind, self-confidence and a positive outlook on life. Bottom line, we care. Our primary directive is enhancing your survivability. Senshido realistically addresses the physical as well as the much often-neglected psychological and emotional components of violent confrontations. Principles are based on natural patterns of psychological & physical defenses, as well as human behavior in relation to extreme violence, aggression, desperation, drugs and alcohol. These principles have been acquired through real life experiences and extensive research, as well as countless interviews with rape and assault victims and individuals in high-risk occupations. The physical portions of Senshido’s training regimen are kept simple, direct and effective. The skills are quickly learned and never forgotten since we use the natural reflexive response mechanism as a starting point and abide by the physiological rules that govern the human body. This includes the understanding of primary and secondary targets as well the physical tools used in conjunction with natural stances and responses to be applied regardless of the situation and its environment. With over 15 years of experience and research on performance enhancement psychology, criminal psychology and human behavior we have discovered that stress and fear caused by unpredictable confrontations predominantly afflicts an individual’s performance due to lack of information on the given subject and/or situation. Senshido will demystify many myths surrounding the martial arts. It will redefine your beliefs. It will unlock your potential and enhance your intuitive radar. The primary concern is avoidance. The second is de-escalation, the third if the first two fail, is protective offense. |
